Lagrange water park11/20/2023 Visited the lodge at the beginning of May.It was our second time and probably the last.Stayed for 1 night from Sunday to Monday. I’ve chosen to do it this time so that I can help prevent other active duty military members from getting ripped off by the Great Wolf Lodge. I have never written a review on any business. I was told I would receive an email confirming it. I asked to be CC’d in the email to confirm that it would actually be sent. I was told an email will be sent to a supervisor at the Lagrange lodge about the issue. I then called the number provided on the website again and explain that the lodge will not answer their phone. I have called several times and they will not answer the phone. I explained the issue and they told me they had no way of fixing the issue and that I must contact the Lagrange lodge directly at 1 (706) 837-9653 ext. I then called the number provided on the Great Wolf website, 1 (844) 473-9653. After four days of waiting and bringing the issue up two separate times the pending charges had not been removed and I was actually charged $820.62. The next day once I was already home, I checked my account and both pending charges were still there and I had been charged an additional $820.62. Again, I was told that the issue would be taken care of and not to worry. On the third day when my family and I checked out I approached the staff again because the charges had not disappeared and I wanted to be sure they would. I brought it to the staffs attention and they said they were and that an employee had made a mistake and the issue was already being fixed and that the charges would not go through and to wait 24-48 hours for them to disappear. The very next day I had two separate charges pending, on over $300 and the other over $400. When I arrived I presented my voucher again and was told I would not be receive any additional charges due to my voucher. The voucher was sent to Great Wolf Lodge to show payment in advance. I purchased my tickets through the Fort Benning MWR at a discount rate for active duty military. I purchased 4 adult and 2 children tickets for 3 days at the water park and a two night stay in a themed room. If you are okay with that then book your trip. The bottom line is that the GWL is a $400 a night Holiday Inn with horrible service and a so-so water park attached to it. The water park was fun for the kids, but then again you give then waterhose in the back yard and they are equally happy. The hotel accommodation are not bad, but this is certainly NOT a JW Marriott. We had dinner at the "nice" restaurant, where it took 1 & 1/2 hrs. If you are planning on getting ice cream, coffee, candy, or anything at one of the lobby stores, be prepared to wait an equally long time. For instance if you expect to get a drink at the pool bar, you better be prepared to wait in line for at least 45 minutes. That is something this place is utterly lacking. We expect to pay a premium when we go to resorts, but we also expect to something in return for that premium. To be clear, my issue with this place has nothing to do with its super inflated prices.
